Cities have a central role to play in tackling climate change. By fostering a sense of shared purpose, the C40 network offers cities an effective forum in which to work together, share information and demonstrate leadership. Through an effective partnership working with the Clinton Climate Initiative, the C40 helps cities reduce greenhouse gas emissions through a range of energy efficiency and clean energy programs. The current chair of the C40 is Mayor Michael R Bloomberg of New York City.
